It has been quite a journey! We left from Amsterdam at 8 in the morning, for an 8 hour flight to Detroit. No sweat there. Then there was customs... That took forever! We missed our 12:05 connection because of this. We were lucky to get another flight to JFK, but that was delayed. Several hours later we were finally in NY! And then we had to get a cab... No easy task either! So, about 22 hours after we left, finally here! Had some sleep and now: let's have fun in this awesome city!!

Yes, my girl and me are happy people! 12.5 years together and threw a party to celebrate that fact. We've been having the best time! It felt great to see that we have so many awesome friends and family. The gifts they gave us is just too much! It's great to see, but man, we felt very overwhelmed with all the great messages and cards we received. Such great and lovely messages makes my heart melt. I know, I sound like some big sissy now, but I don't care. It is just so great to see how many super awesome people care about you! And no, I'm not too cool to admit it: I've shed a tear or two over those heartwarming messages!
We've had a great night and hope all the people visiting did too. The vibe was great and it was great to see everybody dressed up really nice. Oh yeah, and the staff did a great job too! Really nice girls doing a great job to make the night a perfect one. And not to forget the deejays, who did an awesome job as well! All and all a great night to remember!
